This came in a statement published by the official page of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the ‘X’ platform today, Sunday, stating that Abdel Aaty’s remarks were made during his meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa. It pointed out Abdel Aaty’s emphasis on providing the necessary support to the Palestinian side to restore order in the sector by training Palestinian police officers to fill the security vacuum there.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister also stressed the urgent need to continue mobilizing international support for the implementation of the Arab plan for the reconstruction of the sector, including early recovery requirements. He expressed Egypt’s strong rejection of the policy of starvation and blockade practiced by the Israeli side in the Gaza Strip.
Badr Abdel Aaty emphasized Egypt’s condemnation of ‘settlement policies and systematic assaults in the occupied Palestinian territories.’ From October 7, 2023, to August 17, 2025, this has resulted in the deaths of about 62,000 Palestinians and approximately 156,000 injuries, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health data in Gaza.
