In a phone interview with the “Studio Extra” program, Talaat noted the presence of 14 factories producing mobile phones, including 4 of the 5 largest brands in the Egyptian market. Talaat pointed out that starting next year, exports will begin in large quantities, while this year, different target markets are being tested in preparation for this, as reported by the news portal.
The Egyptian minister added that the Egyptian product enjoys global quality and does not differ from its foreign counterpart by 1%. He highlighted that increasing the percentage of local components in these devices is of great importance to enhance the added value within Egypt.
