Putin explained, “Let me remind you in this regard that this crisis did not arise from a ‘Russian attack on Ukraine,’ but from the coup in Ukraine, which was supported and provoked by the West.” Putin emphasized that “Western attempts to incorporate Ukraine into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are one of the reasons for the Ukrainian crisis.”
