The official representative of the company, Ekaterina Sgirovskaya, stated to ‘Sputnik’ that the Egyptian market and North Africa are of great importance for the company’s products, especially as Cairo diversifies its sources of armament and possesses Russian aircraft such as the ‘MiG-29’.
She added that the aircraft is capable of training pilots in basic flying skills, maneuvers, and aerial movements, in addition to electronically simulating combat missions, including the use of weapons. It also provides training on entering and exiting spiral dives, in preparation for transitioning to advanced combat aircraft.
The Russian ‘Ural Civil Aviation Plant’ company expressed its readiness to meet the needs of the Egyptian market if there is official interest in the displayed systems. Egypt is hosting the ‘EDEX 2025’ International Defense Exhibition in its fourth edition from December 1 to 4 of this year.
The exhibition is expected to welcome about 40,000 international and local visitors, and official delegations from more than 100 countries, with over 400 companies specializing in defense industries from 86 countries showcasing their products.
