This was stated in a statement by “Ansar Allah” on Sunday, published by its affiliated channel “Al-Masirah”. It mentioned that “its armed forces carried out a special military operation against Lod Airport (Ben Gurion Airport), noting that the operation successfully achieved its goal, causing a suspension of air traffic and millions rushing to shelters.” It continued: “We affirm that this operation aims to support the Palestinian people and in response to the genocide crimes they are subjected to by Israel, as well as representing a response to the Israeli aggression against Yemen.” Earlier on Sunday, it was announced that its forces attacked targets in the Yemeni city of Sanaa, adding: “The army attacked about 2,000 kilometers from the shores of Israel, and about 150 kilometers deep into Yemen, targeting energy infrastructure used by the terrorist Houthi regime.” Two violent explosions shook the city of Sanaa in central Yemen, controlled by the Yemeni “Ansar Allah” group, following an Israeli airstrike. A Yemeni source told “Sputnik” that “Israeli fighters launched two airstrikes on the ‘Haziz’ power station south of the capital, Sanaa,” indicating that “this led to a massive fire at the main power station.” Since the outbreak of the Gaza War in October 2023, “Ansar Allah” has been launching missile and drone attacks on Israel and on ships related to it or to the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, in support of Gaza, and confirms that it will continue to do so until Israel stops the war.
