According to the American magazine ‘Politico’, citing sources, Musk proposed this vision on November 22 during a meeting with former and current employees at the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency in Bastrop, Texas. The magazine quoted Musk as saying he expects the country to be at the beginning of a ‘great 12-year phase’, including the second term of U.S. President Donald Trump, followed by two potential presidential terms for Vice President J.D. Vance. It noted that Musk did not attend the meeting in person but participated via video call from a ‘dark room’, citing security reasons, affirming that he is on a list of people who might be targeted for assassination attempts.
‘Politico’ mentioned that about 150 employees from the Department of Government Efficiency attended the meeting, some accompanied by family members. Last March, Trump revealed his aspirations to take office, stating in an NBC News interview: ‘I’m not joking about the possibility of running for a third term,’ adding, ‘There are ways to achieve that.’ However, he hinted last August that Vance is the frontrunner to be the Republican party’s candidate in the 2028 presidential elections. The 22nd amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that ‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’
