According to Axios, citing informed sources, the proposed structure will include a Peace Council at the top of the administrative hierarchy, chaired by Trump himself, and will comprise about ten Arab and Western leaders. The Peace Council will be followed by an international executive council expected to include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, as well as Trump’s advisors Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. According to Axios, the United States is in the final stages of reaching an agreement with Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and regional countries regarding this technocratic government’s composition. Since the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas was signed on October 13, Hamas has handed over living Israeli prisoners and several bodies to Israel while releasing about two thousand Palestinian prisoners and bodies of Palestinian detainees. The Israeli war on Gaza, which lasted more than two years, resulted in the death of about 68,000 Palestinians and injuries to approximately 170,000 others, according to official data. In October, Egypt hosted a peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh, chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah and US President Donald Trump, with the participation of leaders and delegates from about 20 countries. Over the two years of continuous Israeli warfare on the Gaza Strip, the region suffered destruction from the far south to the north, including the destruction of the medical sector, schools, universities, places of worship, infrastructure, and vital resources supporting life in the region. Fifteen vital sectors in Gaza were destroyed, leaving large numbers of Palestinian civilians killed and injured.
