Beyond Pink, hosted by HEALTH Magazine, united medical experts, cancer survivors, and community advocates for an evening focused on women’s wellness and empowering discussions. Set at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the event began with a warm welcome from Health Magazine editor Suchitra Bajpai Chaudhary. The program emphasized early detection, informed choices, and the shared responsibility of prioritizing women’s health.
This two-hour event, featuring two panel discussions, was moderated by prominent journalist Manju Ramanan. The evening’s highlight was a keynote speech by renowned actress and author Lisa Ray, who recounted her battle with multiple myeloma. She emphasized the need for women’s inclusion in clinical studies and advocated for Hormone Replacement Therapy for menopause relief. Her inspiring presence underscored the importance of resilience, awareness, and early intervention in transforming lives. She received a floral bouquet, plaque, and certificate to honor her contributions.
Vignesh S Unadkat, COO of Thumbay Media, remarked: “Women’s health deserves this level of attention and openness. I’m thankful to everyone who participated, spoke, and helped make Beyond Pink a place of learning, support, and hope.”

The second panel highlighted bravery and personal experiences. Breast cancer survivors Ms. Renuka Parmeshwar Sharma and Ms. Shirin Sarkaree shared their journeys, delivering messages of hope, perseverance, and the significance of early screening. General surgeon Dr. Verushka Mansukhani contributed by emphasizing the importance of self-exams, prompt diagnosis, and regular screenings to minimize risk and avoid late-stage treatments.
