‘The first travel blogger I ever followed’
Kaunain, a UAE-based travel influencer known as Cruising Cravings, expressed her admiration for Anunay, calling him an inspiration.
“He was the first influencer to inspire me to create travel content after seeing his dreamy visuals. He was the first travel blogger I followed,” she shared.
She recalled reaching out to Anunay for local contacts during her first trip after leaving her job. “I went to Kashmir and messaged him for local contacts. To my surprise, someone with over a million followers responded and helped me with the itinerary. He was humble enough to promise a Dubai meet-and-greet for travel bloggers soon.”
Kaunain later discovered that Anunay’s sister, also in Dubai, was following her work.
“She casually texted me appreciating my content. At that time, I didn’t know they were siblings,” Kaunain said. “Learning she was related to such a prominent travel blogger showed how grounded their family is. They need our prayers and strength now.”

‘Still can’t process this’
Parikshit Balochi, a popular RJ and social media influencer in Dubai, expressed his shock over Anunay’s death.
“I am stunned by the news of his passing. Life is unpredictable; this is truly shocking. I have no words,” he said.
“It’s heartbreaking to lose someone so vibrant and full of life. Anunay’s energy and his connection with people through his content were truly unique.”
Ashish Sharma, a Dubai-based real estate agent and traveler, shared that he had followed Anunay’s journeys for years.
“I have visited many places he explored, often following his routes. I had planned to visit Spiti Valley after his recent posts. Still can’t process this… You lived with passion, heart, and adventure, brother. Rest in peace, Anunay. You will be deeply missed. Strength to the family.”
Sharma added, “For many in Dubai, his adventures represented freedom and the courage to pursue experiences. His recent posts from Las Vegas make this loss even more surreal.”
