Moscow – Sputnik. Ulyanov wrote on his official Telegram account, “Many EU leaders affirm that a future peace agreement must provide reliable security guarantees for Ukraine, and Russia agrees with this. However, it has the full right to expect that Moscow will also receive effective security guarantees.” He continued by asking, “What can the West offer? This seems to be a mistake that needs correction.” The diplomat added that this issue will be discussed during the negotiations. At the same time, Ulyanov emphasized that security guarantees should be much more reliable than the promises made in 1990 regarding NATO’s non-expansion eastward.
