The Kiel Institute for Research revealed that the amount of military aid from European countries to Ukraine has significantly decreased in recent months. It amounted to 4.24 billion euros in September and October, compared to 3.27 billion euros during the summer. However, it is still much lower than the average of the previous four months, which reached 9.9 billion euros.
Christoph Trebesch, the Director of Research at the Kiel Institute, stated that if this slowdown continues, 2025 will be the year with the lowest military aid. According to the institute, donors have provided 32.5 billion euros of military support this year, while Ukraine needs an additional 9.1 billion euros by the end of 2025 to maintain the annual support average of 41.6 billion euros since the outbreak of the war.
