The Els Club Dubai is set to host elite young golfers for the Faldo Junior Tour from October 12-14, 2025.
This 54-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event, supported by The R&A, includes boys and girls aged 13 to 21. Participants will compete in a professional-style tournament, also serving as a qualifier for the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Junior Order of Merit.
This year, the event joins forces with CH3 Performance Golf Academy at The Els Club. Competitors can attend a specialized clinic with Claude Harmon III in November. Top juniors will win a personal lesson with one of golf’s most esteemed coaches.
Jim Prescott, Regional Manager of the Faldo Series MENA, stated, “We are excited to bring the Faldo Junior Tour to The Els Club Dubai for the third year in a row. This top-tier venue challenges the players, and we anticipate remarkable performances from a talented field.
Expanding Opportunities
“By growing our presence in this region, we are creating more opportunities for young golfers to test their skills, gain valuable experience, and join a pathway that has molded the careers of future champions worldwide.”
Michael Bolt, Director of Instruction at CH3 Performance Golf Academy, emphasized the partnership’s importance. With the success of CH3 Performance Golf Academy’s programs, over 50 students have earned golf scholarships and university placements, advancing their golf careers.
“Hosting a WAGR event at The Els Club is fantastic, allowing juniors to compete at the highest level. Our CH3 Junior Development and Elite Programs focus on nurturing talent, and we’re thrilled to see our students compete on this prominent stage.
“With participants from 29 countries, including over 32 single-digit handicap golfers and about 15 of our Elite Program players, the diversity and competition quality make this event special for upcoming golfers,” he added.
Path to Grand Final
Winners will qualify for the Faldo Series Grand Final at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club from March 23rd to 26th, 2026, enjoying an all-expenses-paid trip with accommodation, transfers, a practice round, daily lunches, and a gala dinner.
The Faldo Junior Tour has been a launchpad for rising stars. Its alumni, like Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, and Carly Booth, highlight its tradition, continued by this Dubai edition.
Tom Rourke, General Manager of The Els Club Dubai, said, “Representing Dubai Sports City, CH3 Performance Golf Academy, and Troon, we are honored to welcome the Faldo Series back to Dubai.
“This event is recognized as a springboard for promising junior talent, with many past winners now on the world stage, competing in the Olympics, and in Major championships.
“Hosting this prestigious global event for the next three years underscores not only the Faldo Series’ impact on golf’s future but also the exceptional course conditions and world-class facilities at The Els Club,” Rourke added.
