A fire broke out at a tourist café in the Valley of the Kings area on the West Bank in Luxor. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities revealed that the fire was limited and was brought under control, as reported by the Egyptian newspaper ‘Al-Gomhuria’ today, Monday. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism confirmed that the archaeological area is completely safe and that all the tombs are intact and in good condition. Wagdi noted that he moved to the site immediately upon being informed, pointing out that a team of antiquities inspectors was ready to take any required preventive measures to protect and secure the antiquities.
