Godoy suffered a first-degree burn on his thigh and inflammation in his testicle due to the explosion. The firecracker, launched by his team’s fans, was of the “Yurona” type and was part of the victory celebrations. However, it hit him directly, causing him to fall to the ground in pain before receiving first aid and leaving the field.
The group “Ultras Sur,” fans of the club, were blamed for the incident. They apologized, confirming that the accident was unintentional and that their aim was to encourage and support, not to harm the players.
