Get Dubai Business License in 17 Seconds with AI

Investors will soon be able to secure their licenses in just 17 seconds through the ‘Invest in Dubai’ digital platform, thanks to the integration of Agentic AI technology, as announced by a senior official on Tuesday.

During an interview with Khaleej Times, Ahmad Khalifa AlQaizi AlFalasi, CEO of Dubai Business Registration and Licensing Corporation (DBLC), revealed that an upgraded version of Invest in Dubai was introduced at the Gitex Global 2025 event and will be launched by the end of 2026.

“Currently, anyone accessing Invest in Dubai can obtain their trade license in no more than five minutes. At this Gitex, we’re unveiling an improved version featuring Agentic AI capabilities. Think of Agentic AI as a super employee, instantly and accurately evaluating applications,” said AlFalasi.

“Now, we have AI to review and verify applications. If everything checks out, the application is approved. Previously, staff would spend hours reviewing attachments. With Agentic AI, approval happens in 17 seconds, providing a response as soon as documents are uploaded,” AlFalasi explained.

He further mentioned that the system ensures document validity for DBLC to approve applications.

AlFalasi noted that the DBLC system is integrated with most local government entities, though some activities may require a no-objection certificate (NOC) for license processing. Upon submission, the system swiftly handles these applications.

Emphasizing the technology’s advantages, he stated that the department no longer needs staff solely for document validation. “Automation now handles these tasks, allowing staff to oversee system capabilities rather than manual checks.”

This app enhancement aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aiming to boost economic productivity by 50% through innovation and digital adoption.

A Tuesday statement highlighted that the major upgrade to the Invest in Dubai platform will allow investors and businesses to manage the entire licensing process digitally, covering corporate structures, legal forms, and branch licenses, reducing redundancies and paperwork.

The service will consolidate essential permits and approvals from various key government bodies into a unified interface, including those from the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MoHRE), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), with more entities expected to join and further enhance government service integration.

Since its 2021 launch, the Invest in Dubai platform has facilitated 1.3 million transactions and supported the establishment of 280,916 new businesses. Business license issuance via the platform has increased nearly six-fold, from 16,584 in 2021 to 95,543 in 2024, with transactions rising from 31,383 to over 258,000 within the same timeframe.
