He pointed out that “this terrorism led to the martyrdom of three citizens in villages east of Ramallah in less than two days.” He stated in comments to ” ” that “these events indicate the extent of empowerment provided to settlers over the past years, which did not stop at supplying them with weapons, equipment, and financial resources, but extended to include the formulation of a supportive legislative environment by the occupying state aimed at protecting them from any future prosecutions,” considering that this environment provides a moral boost for settlers to commit more crimes.

The Director of the Publishing and Documentation Department added that the demolitions carried out by settlers fall within the system of forced displacement of Palestinians, affirming that what happened in the Al-Maleh Bedouin community in the Palestinian Jordan Valley represents a persistence in crime and a challenge to international laws, as settlers demolished what was left of the community, whose residents were practically displaced two months ago due to continuous attacks.

He believes that the occupation system is trying to impose a coercive environment that expels Palestinians through all forms of terrorism and intimidation to reach its goals, asserting that the occupying state and its settler militias have crossed all red lines, including the sexual assaults recently recorded in the Al-Homs area in the Jordan Valley to send a message to Palestinians that they have no choice but to leave.

He emphasized that what is happening surpasses war crimes and is occurring in front of the world’s eyes, which at best only condemns, considering that the international community’s silence and its lack of serious action is a message of encouragement for the occupying state to continue and escalate its crimes.

Last night, settlers demolished a school and surrounding homes in the Al-Maleh community in the northern Jordan Valley after invading it with bulldozers. Local sources reported that settlers took over citizens’ homes and raised occupation flags on them after forcing Palestinian families who lived in the area to leave earlier.

Western media reports on Monday stated that France and Sweden have called on the European Commission to tighten restrictions on imports from Israeli settlements in the West Bank, imposing stricter tariffs and import controls. Israel had approved measures on February 8th aimed at expanding its control, including lifting restrictions on land sales to settlers. This comes despite UN Security Council Resolution 2334 issued in 2016, which calls for a halt to settlement activity, a resolution that Israel refused to comply with.
