Hajj Moussa explained in a talk via ‘Sputnik’ radio that what was mentioned in the paper does not concern Gaza alone, but relates to the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. He said, ‘We want to end the occupation, for when the world recognized the Palestinian state and called for the cessation of war, it did not demand the return of colonialism to the region.’
He pointed out that ‘Trump wants to overturn the equation and ease international pressure on the Zionist entity,’ emphasizing that ‘everyone who recently spoke about the Palestinian state is irresponsible, given the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.’
He added, ‘Our stance on the Palestinian state is clear, and the Islamic Jihad Movement has not recognized the two-state solution, because all of Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, and it is a historical right that cannot be relinquished.’
He concluded by asserting that ‘Israel wants to eliminate all Palestinians, not just Hamas, targeting Palestinian existence. They want Gaza without Gazans, not a disarmed Gaza, as evidenced by settlement expansion and the annexation declaration in the West Bank, and attempts to erase Palestinian values and standards.’
