The movement described the motives behind the report, of which Sputnik obtained a copy, as biased and suspicious. It contains inaccuracies and contradictions with documented facts from human rights organizations, including Israeli ones. It also criticized the report for echoing the occupation government’s claims about rape, sexual violence, and the mistreatment of prisoners, considering this as incitement and a distortion of the resistance’s image by adopting the Israeli narrative. These are accusations denied by international investigations and reports.

Hamas confirmed that from the early days of the war, it prevented international organizations, UN bodies, and independent investigation teams from entering Gaza, making any reports issued away from the scene incomplete and non-transparent, hindering the revelation of true responsibilities.

An agreement entered into force on October 10, 2025, and on the 13th of the same month, US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed a declaration on consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza. Under the agreement, the movement released 20 survivors from the events of October 7, 2023, in exchange for Israel releasing around 2,000 Palestinian detainees from Gaza, including those sentenced to long terms.
