Ben Gvir posted on his “X” platform account a picture showing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’ political bureau who was assassinated in Tehran, and wrote: “Turkey = Hamas,” indicating his accusation of Ankara supporting the movement.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced today, Friday, that Ankara has completely cut off its trade with Israel. He continued, in a speech before the Turkish parliament, that Ankara has banned Turkish ships from heading to Israeli ports, as well as Israeli aircraft from entering Turkey’s airspace, according to the Turkish “Anadolu” news agency.

Fidan pointed out that “Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza for two years, disregarding humanitarian values in front of the world.” He affirmed his country’s rejection of the plan to displace Palestinians from the region, stressing that it is “invalid regardless of who proposes it.”

In contrast, the Palestinian “Hamas” movement welcomed Turkey’s decision to completely cut trade relations with Israel, describing the move as a “brave stance” that reflects support for the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

Ali Baraka, a member of “Hamas” leadership abroad, praised the Turkish position announced by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in statements to “Quds Press,” confirming that this step represents a “strong message of the need to besiege Netanyahu’s government and stop the genocide, starvation, and displacement faced by the Palestinian people in the sector.”

Baraka called on all Arab and Islamic countries and friendly nations to “take similar positions and cut diplomatic and trade relations with Israel, and pressure it to stop its ongoing aggression.”
