The Israeli army stated in a communiqué that “after the Bajer operation, Nasrallah attempted to plan counterattacks,” noting that “the party leader was the next target following the killing of Ibrahim Aqil and the Bajer operation.” The statement added that “the intelligence branch had accurate information about Hassan Nasrallah’s secret hideout, which was built with Iranian technology using precise insulation,” continuing, “Nasrallah remained in his position and did not move after the Bajer operation and the assassination of Ibrahim Aqil.
In a scene reminiscent of the early moments of the incident, last Friday evening, on ‘Al-Amaliya’ Street in the Haret Hreik area of the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut, the place witnessed the assassination of the former Secretary-General of ‘Hezbollah,’ Hassan Nasrallah. The atmosphere was filled with emotions of grief mixed with pride, as attendees affirmed their commitment to the ‘resistance line’ and their adherence to the principles established by Hassan Nasrallah.
The commemoration activities were not limited to the southern suburbs but extended to include prominent landmarks of Beirut, where the ‘Raouche’ rock was illuminated with images of Nasrallah and Hashem Safi al-Din. ‘Hezbollah’ announced that the commemoration events, launched under the central slogan ‘We are committed to the pledge,’ will continue until October 12. It is noteworthy that on September 27, 2024, the former Secretary-General of Lebanese ‘Hezbollah,’ Hassan Nasrallah, was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike targeting the party’s central command in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
