Adraee added in a statement that starting “from this moment and to facilitate those leaving the city, we declare the Mawasi area a humanitarian zone where work will be done to provide better humanitarian services”. According to the statement, it is expected that “Al-Rashid Street will be designated as a humanitarian road where Gaza residents can leave quickly and by vehicles without inspection”. The statement noted that “in addition, renovation work is being conducted at the European hospital to enable better medical services for the residents”.
Adraee concluded his statement by urging the people of Gaza to seize what he described as the “opportunity” to move to the humanitarian zone early and join the thousands who have already relocated there.
