India’s aviation regulator has issued a caution to IndiGo regarding the significant disruptions that led to thousands of flight cancellations, as reported by Reuters.

The directive requires the airline to provide an explanation within 24 hours. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India has also established a four-member panel to investigate the disruptions.

This panel will address issues such as crew scheduling, operational preparedness, and adherence to the new Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL) regulations to avert future incidents, according to ANI.

The Indian government previously announced it would conduct a high-level investigation into IndiGo’s service disruptions, stated the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

This investigation aims to uncover what went wrong, assign responsibility where necessary, and suggest measures to prevent similar disruptions in the future, ensuring passengers do not encounter such difficulties again, the Ministry noted.
