Many observers considered that these events are not a coincidence, but have an external driver, as is the case in many countries that do not submit to Western demands.
Asian affairs expert, politician Jeff Brown, told Sputnik, “Indonesia is the eighth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity, right after Russia, and thus it is the largest economy in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), which seeks to cooperate with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.”
He added, “It is the first Southeast Asian country to join the BRICS group and openly cooperates with China in the Belt and Road Initiative.”
He explained, “From the perspective of the colonial West, all this represents a significant target for Indonesia, a target worthy of attack with a Western-made color revolution.”
He continued, “The same scenario is happening in Serbia; the G7 wants another US-backed dictator.”
