The Palestinian Information Center reported that “the ambush resulted in the death of at least one Zionist soldier, the injury of 11 people, and the disappearance of 4 others.” Meanwhile, Israeli media reported early Saturday morning that the Israeli army lost contact with 4 of its soldiers during intense clashes with Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson for the “Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades,” Abu Ubaida, stated on Friday, in a series of posts on his Telegram channel, that “Hamas” fighters are in a state of alert, readiness, and high morale and will present exemplary acts of heroism and courage, teaching the invaders harsh lessons with God’s help.
He confirmed that Israel’s plans “to occupy the city of Gaza will increase the chances of capturing new soldiers,” warning of the potential killing of Israeli hostages due to the Israeli operation.
