The Iranian Foreign Ministry rejected this claim, stating that such news, which stems from some Telegram accounts affiliated with the Zionist entity and the Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization, is psychological warfare by the Zionist media operations room aimed at inciting tension and is untrue, according to Iranian news agency IRNA.
On June 13, Israel launched surprise airstrikes in an operation named “”, targeting military sites and nuclear facilities in Iran, most notably the main uranium enrichment facility at Natanz. The Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of several prominent nuclear scientists, military leaders, and Iranian officials, including the head of the Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, Chief of the Army Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and the Commander of the Aerospace Force of the Revolutionary Guard, Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
Israel justified its attacks by claiming that Iran had reached a “point of no return” in uranium enrichment and was nearing the acquisition of a nuclear weapon, which Tehran denies, consistently insisting that its nuclear activities are solely for peaceful purposes.
Additionally, the United States launched an attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan on the night of June 22. According to Washington, “the attack was aimed at destroying or severely weakening the Iranian nuclear program.”
Days later, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced a response by striking the U.S. base “Al Udeid” in Qatar.
