On Sunday, Larijani explained in a press statement that Israel tried to portray itself as a victor through a media campaign, but the facts that emerged later, including the extent of the damage caused by Iranian missiles inside Israel, proved otherwise. He stated that strict censorship in Israel prevented the publication of these losses at the time, but they became apparent after the war ended.

The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council added that Israel was betting on Iran’s isolation in its Islamic surroundings, but Arab and Islamic countries stood by Iran, while Europe and the United States provided support to Tel Aviv.

Larijani pointed out that “the barrage of Iranian missiles confused Israel’s defenses and disrupted their balance,” revealing that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin called a regional leader on the first day, saying that Iran was finished, but he returned a few days later to admit there were “significant problems.”

On the night of June 13, Israel launched an operation against Iran, accusing it of “implementing a secret military nuclear program,” targeting air raids on nuclear facilities, prominent nuclear physicists, and air bases.

Iran rejected these accusations and responded with special attacks. The parties exchanged attacks, with the United States joining by carrying out a single attack on Iranian nuclear facilities on the night of June 22. Subsequently, Tehran launched missile strikes on the American Al-Udeid base in Qatar on the evening of the 23rd of the same month, asserting that the Iranian side does not intend to escalate further.
