Tasnim reported on Wednesday evening that President Bazshkian’s statements came during a meeting with Iranian citizens residing in Belarus, emphasizing the need to enhance Iranian capabilities. President Bazshkian pointed out that if Iran did not have missile capabilities, its enemies would have done to it what they did in Gaza and Yemen. He added, ‘Iran’s enemies call for human rights and freedom, but all their words are big lies and deceptions.’
He continued, ‘We have declared from the beginning that we seek unity and integration within the country and the region, but they do not see our growth and progress.’
Masoud Bazshkian did not stop there; he also asserted that ‘Israel commits brutality, injustice, and crime in the region, and no one stops it.’
It is worth mentioning that Israel and Iran exchanged airstrikes and missile attacks from June 13 to June 24. The war included Iran bombing strategic targets and Israel destroying several vital targets in Iran. It also involved American and Israeli bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities, followed by an Iranian attack on the Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on June 24, before U.S. President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between the parties.
