Today, Tuesday, IRNA reported that Sattar Hashmi stated that his ministry focuses on targeted launches and providing effective services in this field to citizens. Several light satellites will be launched into space this year, with the system gradually reaching completion. The Iranian minister pointed out that the development of this system’s components is centered around the Iranian Space Organization and the National Space Institute. He confirmed that launch operations, whether using domestic or foreign carriers, are on the agenda.
The Iranian Minister of Communications explained that due to the inherent dynamism in the national telecommunications sector, continuous updates are necessary. Iran focuses on targeted launches and providing effective services to citizens. In this context, it has met the needs of the Ministry of Education and strives to provide practical support to students.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology in Iran emphasized that educational justice means the ministry’s ability to provide content that meets students’ needs. This is pursued through the dual focus on communication quality and coverage of underserved areas. To date, in the fourteenth government, more than two thousand villages have been connected to the internet with suitable quality.
On November 5, 2024, Iran launched the satellites “Kowsar-1” and “Hudhud” into orbit using a Russian “Soyuz” rocket. Now, less than a year later, the second or improved version of “Kowsar” is ready for launch after passing the final manufacturing and testing stages. The developed version of the “Kowsar” mission is a mix of the “Kowsar-1” and “Hudhud” missions, covering areas such as remote sensing and the Internet of Things. Its applications include precision agriculture and mapping. This Iranian satellite is produced by the private sector and developed under a cooperation agreement between the knowledge-based “Omid Space” company and the Iranian Space Organization.
