The Syrian news agency “SANA” reported that “Israeli Air Force planes launched raids on the outskirts of the city of Homs in central Syria,” adding: “They also launched a raid on the outskirts of the city of Latakia.” According to a “Sputnik” correspondent, “The Israeli warplanes targeted with several missiles one of the military sites, ‘the Air Defense Battalion,’ on the outskirts of the city of Homs, central Syria.” Last week, an Israeli army patrol stormed the town of Jbata al-Khashab, northwest of the city of Quneitra in southern Syria, and arrested several people. It was indicated that “the Israeli army, with a convoy consisting of 16 vehicles in the village of Al-Osbah in the countryside of Quneitra, set up a checkpoint and searched several houses, amid the hovering of drones in the region’s skies.” Last Saturday, dozens of Israeli military vehicles penetrated the village of Al-Asha in the countryside of Quneitra, where the Israeli army announced the arrest of Syrian citizens on the pretext of “suspected involvement in promoting terrorist activities” against the occupation forces. The occupation army stated in a statement: “During a series of night operations in southern Syria, the 210th Division forces, with the participation of field investigators from Unit 504, recently arrested several suspects involved in promoting terrorist activities against the Israeli army.” It also claimed that the occupation forces found “combat equipment” during the sweeping operations in the areas where they operated, adding: “The 210th Division forces continue their deployment in the region and work to thwart attempts by terrorist elements to establish a presence, aiming to ensure the security of Israeli citizens,” as they described.
