The Israeli army stated today, Wednesday, that its air forces detected two missiles launched from Yemen, with Israeli air defenses managing to intercept one of them. The army noted that the second missile fell on the way, without mentioning the location where it fell or where the first missile was intercepted. Meanwhile, Israel’s Channel 12 reported that alarms were activated in several areas of the country following the missile launch from Yemen, especially in surrounding areas and also around the Dead Sea. Earlier on Wednesday, the Yemeni group “Ansar Allah” announced that its forces carried out air attacks on Israel with two hypersonic ballistic missiles. The spokesperson for “Ansar Allah,” Brigadier General Yahya Saree, stated: “In victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the genocidal crimes and starvation committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers, the missile force in the Yemeni armed forces executed a qualitative and dual military operation.” He explained that “sensitive sites of the Israeli enemy in the occupied Jaffa area were targeted, and the operation achieved its objectives successfully,” noting that the operation “caused millions of occupying Zionists to rush to shelters and suspended airport movement.” Yahya Saree emphasized that “the Yemeni attacks come in support of our fighters, and as a protest against the genocidal crimes and starvation committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.” Since the outbreak of the Gaza War in October 2023, “Ansar Allah” has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Israel and ships linked to it or to the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, emphasizing that they come in support of Gaza and affirming that they will continue until Israel stops the war.
