Israeli Channel 13 reported this Thursday evening that two Israelis were killed in a shooting or stabbing incident on the Allenby Bridge at the border with Jordan. Investigations are ongoing to determine the details. The channel explained that “a terrorist is suspected to have arrived at the Allenby Crossing in a truck carrying aid to the Gaza Strip from Jordan and carried out the attack,” adding that it is being investigated whether the attack was a shooting or a stabbing.
Meanwhile, the newspaper “Israel Hayom” reported the killing of two Israelis, after initially reporting that one person was killed and another was critically injured or in a “state of death,” as they described it. The newspaper’s website noted that nearly a year ago, specifically in September 2024, three Israeli workers were shot and killed at a border crossing, and the “terrorist,” who arrived via Jordan in a truck and opened fire at the scene, was neutralized.
Israeli media had reported on the twelfth of this month that two Israelis were seriously and moderately injured in a stabbing incident at a dining hall in a hotel in the “Tzova” area near occupied Jerusalem. The Israeli police reported on their website that they managed to arrest the perpetrator and are investigating him at the scene. “A 50-year-old man was seriously injured in the upper body, while the second Israeli, aged 23, sustained moderate injuries, and both were taken to a hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.
The West Bank is witnessing a wave of tension and field confrontations between Palestinians and Israelis, accompanied by raids and arrests of Palestinians, coinciding with the war on the Gaza Strip.
