This type of warship is known as the “Karakurt-E,” designed to engage hostile surface ships and air and sea targets within its coverage range, according to the Russian website “Rosoboronexport.” The armament of the “Karakurt-E” includes three important weapons. Despite being classified as a corvette, which is a type of warship smaller than frigates, it possesses an immense firepower equivalent to that of a frigate. It can be relied upon to impose maritime dominance for the state, equipped with precision-guided missiles that can be used against maritime targets or even to bombard land targets deep within enemy territory.
The ship’s armament reveals its possession of multiple missile and artillery systems that provide protection against all aerial threats during wartime. It can also be relied upon to secure coastal areas during peacetime.
