Bollywood received delightful news today as actress Katrina Kaif and her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal, revealed they are expecting their first child.
They made the announcement on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of themselves gazing lovingly at Kaif’s baby bump. The caption read: “Embarking on the most beautiful chapter of our lives with hearts filled with joy and gratitude.”
Kaushal also posted the same photo.
This news follows recent speculation sparked by a photo of Kaif, where the Merry Christmas star appeared joyful in a maroon outfit with a noticeable bump.
Kaif, 42, and Kaushal, 37, wed in 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan, India.
The couple is thriving in their careers. Kaushal’s latest film, Chhaava (2025), became the year’s top-grossing film, while Kaif last appeared in Merry Christmas (2024).
In a 2019 Filmfare interview, Kaif expressed the importance of a child having both parents, saying, “The absence of a father figure can leave a void and make any girl feel vulnerable. I want my children to experience life with both parents.”
Kaif comes from a large family with seven siblings, while Kaushal has one brother.
