Key Nuclear Principles Announced at Global Event

The announcement included seven main principles, most notably: enhancing nuclear safety and security, equality in education, using nuclear science for the service of humanity, empowering youth, and promoting international cooperation in knowledge transfer. It was prepared by young individuals selected through a competition based on their academic, scientific, and professional achievements, in addition to their contributions to initiatives specific to the nuclear industry and sciences.

The announcement was presented before high-ranking leaders in the global nuclear sector, including Alexey Likhachov, Director General of Rosatom; Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency; and Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Rosatom. Representatives from nuclear agencies in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, and South Africa, along with the coordinator of the BRICS Energy Research Platform, were also present.

Tatyana Terentyeva stated: “I thank you for your wonderful, deep, and thoughtful work. I fully support this document. Through this announcement, you have proven that the future of nuclear energy is in safe hands.”

It is noteworthy that the “World Nuclear Week 2025,” organized by Rosatom on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry, was held in Moscow from September 25 to 28. It included an exhibition of Russian and international nuclear achievements, along with a work program covering various topics such as clean energy, industrial innovation, environment, advanced healthcare, digital transformation, and scientific and educational development.
