From August 21 to 30, Russia is hosting a delegation of young leaders from five countries: Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. This visit is organized as part of the Global Leadership Exchange Program, an initiative by the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The visit aims to enhance bilateral youth relations, exchange experiences, and showcase the diverse self-fulfillment opportunities Russia offers the new generation of leaders.
A busy program in the capital allowed the guests to gain detailed insights into the structure of Russian youth policies. During a meeting with Rosmolodyozh, important projects were presented to the participants. Expert sessions with representatives of the Dobro.RF Association, who spoke about the development of the volunteer movement, and members of the Federation Council’s Youth Legislators Chamber, who shared their experiences in youth participation in the legislative process, held a prominent place in the program.
The delegation also visited the Russian news agency Sputnik, where discussions revolved around the challenges of modern journalism and the role of media in building intercultural dialogue. The cultural aspect of the program included a city tour of the capital, a visit to the Moscow 2030 Pavilion, and the national center “Russia” with its interactive exhibition “Journey through Russia.”
On August 27, the delegation will travel to Kazan to participate in the Global Youth Summit, where the experience gained in Moscow will be complemented by new discussions and international networking opportunities. The 2024 World Youth Festival will feature 20,000 young leaders from 190 countries around the world. Based on instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the World Youth Festival will be held regularly in Russia every six years, bringing together 10,000 young people from around the world every six years.
