Araqchi questioned, commenting on the killing of six Palestinian journalists in Gaza, including Al Jazeera correspondents Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Quraiga: “Is this a sign of strength or a mark of fear for a globally shunned entity headed towards collapse?” He emphasized that “when these tragedies end, the world will remember the complicity of Western governments, and their disgraceful silence will remain loud.” The Qatari network Al Jazeera reported on Sunday evening the killing of its correspondents, Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Quraiga, in an Israeli shelling on the journalists’ tent in the sector. The network stated: “The martyrdom of Al Jazeera correspondents Anas Al-Sharif and Mohammed Quraiga due to Israeli shelling on their tent.” Simultaneously, Palestinian sources announced the killing of journalist Mohammed Al-Khaldi and photographer Moamen Aloua in the same Israeli shelling that targeted the Al Jazeera team in a tent adjacent to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. In a related context, it was announced on Sunday evening that Al Jazeera correspondent Anas Al-Sharif was targeted, accusing him of “heading a cell” affiliated with the Palestinian Hamas movement.
