Peskov told reporters in response to a question about whether the Kremlin would view the United States abandoning ‘loud diplomacy’ (loudspeakers) positively: ‘It can, and indeed should, be viewed positively because, I repeat, we are convinced that such complex negotiations should be conducted in silence.’
Peskov noted, in response to another question, that communications between Russia and the United States are ongoing, but discussions have not yet resumed.
He explained that resolving contentious issues between Russia and the United States could open up prospects for restoring bilateral relations.
