Al-Wasat reported today, Saturday, that Mohamed Al-Menfi’s statements were made during the presidential discussion session organized at the opening of the fourth Intra-African Trade Fair in Algiers. During the interactive session dedicated to discussing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Al-Menfi pointed out Libya’s ambition to enhance economic integration and create shared value. He noted that Libya is an integral part of the African continent’s renaissance project and is moving forward to leverage the free trade area agreement as an opportunity to achieve a more prosperous future and dignity for its people.

The newspaper mentioned that, in response to Al-Menfi’s speech, Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed his hope for Libya’s return to its African stature, affirming his country’s support for Libya’s stability. It is worth noting that Al-Menfi visited Algeria last Wednesday, where he was received by President Tebboune, to participate in the fourth edition held in Algeria from September 4 to 10, under the theme “Gateway to New Opportunities.”
