Our correspondent in Libya reported that the field training maneuvers included the participation of association volunteers, several civil society organizations, and relevant government bodies. These maneuvers aim to increase the readiness and preparedness of volunteers, enhancing their ability to deal with natural disasters, ensuring quick response, and coordinating efforts among various supporting entities.
The choice of Derna city was specific due to its humanitarian and national symbolism after the disaster it experienced in September 2023, following Hurricane Daniel, which left devastating effects on the city and its residents.
The organizers of the maneuvers confirmed that these field trainings represent a practical step towards building more prepared teams and establishing a culture of prior readiness in facing potential humanitarian challenges, especially in areas most prone to disasters.
