This Sunday evening, ‘Al Riyadiyah’ conducted a special interview with Marotta, in which he clarified that the Turkish player, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, will continue with Inter Milan and there is no truth to the rumors of his transfer to any Saudi club. Marotta also confirmed that there are no ongoing negotiations between Al Hilal club and Piero Ausilio, the sporting director of Inter Milan, affirming his continuation with his Italian team as well.
Italian press reports have previously linked both individuals with the capital’s clubs in recent times, as officials were searching for a sporting director. It was also stated that the Turkish attacker entered negotiations with Saudi club Al Nassr following the departure of Colombian player Jhon Durán.
It is noteworthy that Ausilio has been serving as the sporting director for Inter since 2014 and played a role in bringing Simone Inzaghi, the current Al Hilal coach, to lead the Italian team back then. Meanwhile, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, who is 31 years old, has been playing for Inter since 2021, participating in 182 matches across various competitions, scoring 38 goals and providing 32 assists.
