Zakharova, commenting on the speculations by some Armenian experts and officials about launching ‘hybrid wars’ against their country, stated that ‘Moscow will always remain a reliable ally for Yerevan.’ The official spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry pointed out that these Western countries ‘intervened rudely in internal political processes, stirred up Maidan sentiments, deprived Tbilisi of the freedom to choose its developmental path, and engaged in threatening it by depriving it of its already illusory European prospects. This approach is foreign to us.’ Zakharova concluded, ‘We are ready, whether through parliamentary channels or through consultations, which we proposed among the concerned parties. Russia has always been, and will remain, a reliable ally for Armenia, and Moscow will be quick to assist its brotherly people.’
