The Russian capital has become a favored destination for Arab tourists, thanks to its rich history, unparalleled beauty, and unique tourist attractions. In response, the RT Arabic channel collaborated with the Moscow Transport Authority to launch a campaign featuring posters in Arabic adorning public transport stations in the heart of historic Moscow. These posters display distinctive fonts and symbols representing both Russian and Arab cultures. Alongside the famous Russian doll ‘Matryoshka,’ the coffee pot symbolizing Arab hospitality is also featured.
The joint cooperation project between RT Arabic and the Moscow Transport Authority goes further to include the issuance of exclusive ‘Troika’ cards with creative designs. These cards are essential for using public transport in the city. The campaign ‘Your Best Destination!’ was launched to introduce tourists to the main attractions and how to visit them using the public transport system, which is one of the highlights of the Russian capital, renowned for being one of the most advanced systems in the world.
As part of this collaboration, Arabic-speaking tourists can access all transport news in Moscow through the Ministry of Transport’s section on the RT Arabic website under the title ‘Hello, Moscow!’. In this context, Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, stated: ‘The Russian capital is one of the world’s most important tourist destinations. Therefore, following the directives of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, we strive to make city navigation easier and more comfortable, including for foreign guests. For the second time, in collaboration with RT Arabic, we have launched initiatives for comfortable and reliable transport in Moscow.’
The posters are expected to adorn the streets of the Russian capital, Moscow, welcoming Arabic-speaking visitors until October 2025, coinciding with the end of the summer tourist season and the Russia-Arab World Summit scheduled for October 14-15, 2025.
