Mana said in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio: ‘The goal of the new military operation to occupy the Gaza Strip is to influence the negotiation process, especially since the Palestinian negotiator remains firm in his position, and ‘Hamas’ has shown flexibility without breaking its principles, in line with the scale of achievements and field cohesion.’

Mana explained that ‘the Egyptian initiative is still on the table, and American intervention comes within the framework of the need to respond to this proposal,’ pointing out that ‘Netanyahu is cornered between internal pressures and undisclosed international and American pressure, in addition to legal pursuits.’

Mana concluded: ‘What is happening means that we are facing a new cycle of positions, and the troubled Netanyahu is now required to seek a solution, and the least costly option might be to accept the presence of the Palestinian Authority in the background of the political scene. This requires Palestinians to manage their affairs through understanding between Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and the Fatah movement,’ relying on ‘the Saudi role in this process, as the Kingdom is a central hub for Arab decision-making.’
