NMC Healthcare is enhancing healthcare accessibility throughout the UAE by expanding its primary care services, now available at 12 hospitals and standalone clinics in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. This includes two new community clinics in Al Riyadh and Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

This initiative integrates routine check-ups, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and specialized care into one cohesive network, making healthcare more seamless, proactive, and personalized for all. This expansion supports the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi’s goal to revolutionize healthcare by focusing on accessible, inclusive, and preventive primary care, aligning with NMC’s nationwide service enhancement strategy.

Primary Care physicians serve as the initial contact for non-emergency health issues, offering a broad range of services and easy referrals to specialists for advanced care. From children’s vaccinations to adolescent assessments, adult health programs, and senior evaluations, NMC Primary Care caters to all life stages, preventing unnecessary hospital visits, promoting early intervention, and ensuring continuous and coordinated care.

Preventive services include annual health assessments, screenings for diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and osteoporosis, vaccination programs, nutrition counseling, and travel medicine consultations. Acute care addresses common illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and allergies, while chronic disease management covers conditions like diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and high cholesterol. Mental health support, reproductive health, menopause care, pediatric and adolescent services, and comprehensive senior evaluations provide a holistic approach to wellness.

NMC recently achieved accreditation as a unified health provider for seven facilities, underlining its commitment to accessibility for people of determination. IFHAS-accredited centers increased from three to seven, with screening volumes tripling since 2023.

“Primary Care physicians are the first point of contact for non-emergency care and oversee your medical journey. They create personalized care plans, coordinate with specialists for advanced treatments, and ensure seamless care,” stated Dr. Shammah Almemari, regional medical director of primary care at NMC Healthcare. “Our program makes healthcare approachable, proactive, and focused on individual and family needs. By expanding services, we empower people to manage their health in an accessible, personalized way.”

NMC Primary Care makes accessing timely, connected care easier and tailored to real-life needs.
