NORAD Intercepts Unauthorized Aircraft

According to ‘Fox News,’ the aircraft flew into a temporary no-fly zone ‘around 12:50 PM Eastern Time,’ according to a statement issued by North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD). NORAD reported that this interception was the second of the day, noting that another aircraft had entered the temporary no-fly zone.

In total, five unauthorized incursions were recorded over the weekend. North American Aerospace Defense Command added that the interceptions might have been visible to the public.

NORAD explained that the flares are ‘used with the highest discipline for the safety of the intercepting aircraft and people on the ground.’ The Civil Aviation Authority also mentioned that these flares burn quickly and completely, so their deployment poses no danger to those on the ground.
