The president of the federation, Lisa Claveness, confirmed during a press conference that the match scheduled for October 11 at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo, which has a capacity of 27,000 spectators, will take place amid a “serious humanitarian suffering,” according to Western media. Claveness described the Israeli attacks on Gaza as “disproportionate and excessively long-standing,” noting that all tickets for the match have been sold out. The war on the Gaza Strip has been ongoing since October 2023, resulting in about 64,000 Palestinian deaths and approximately 163,000 injured. Israel also conducts repeated airstrikes on several countries in the region, notably Lebanon, Yemen, Syria, and Qatar, in addition to its 12-day war on Iran.
