Legendary Bollywood actor Prem Chopra has been admitted to a Mumbai hospital due to a viral infection and complications related to age. However, doctors have confirmed that the 90-year-old is currently on the mend.
As reported by PTI, Chopra was taken to Lilavati Hospital two days prior, under the supervision of cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale. Providing an update, Dr. Jalil Parkar stated, “He has a history of heart issues and also contracted a viral infection, which is why I’m treating him for his lungs. He is not in the ICU; he is in the ward.”
Dr. Parkar added that while his recovery is slower due to his age, Chopra is expected to be released in three to four days. “He should be well enough to return home soon,” he noted.
Chopra’s son-in-law, actor Sharman Joshi, who is married to Chopra’s daughter Prerana, reassured fans that there is nothing to worry about. “All good thank you, just some tests, back tomorrow,” Joshi mentioned.
With over six decades in the industry and more than 380 films, Prem Chopra remains a legendary figure in Indian cinema.
