Alaska – Sputnik. Lauren Lehman told the Sputnik agency: “In such cases, it is necessary to think about security, and nearby airports should also be available, given the large number of guests. In this regard, two places come to mind, one of which is the Elmendorf-Richardson Military Base near Anchorage.” The second place he mentioned was unspecified. Lehman did not rule out that the Russian leader might feel uncomfortable at the US military base. However, he confirmed that the security measures there would be at the highest level. He noted that many other areas in Alaska could host the meeting, but they might not accommodate hundreds of thousands of guests. It is noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump are scheduled to meet in the US state of Alaska on August 15 to discuss the Ukrainian conflict settlement.
