Egypt Hosts Talks to End Gaza Conflict

This came during a phone conversation between them on Tuesday evening, as stated by the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency. The conversation highlighted that both parties discussed ways to immediately end the war and the negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh, hosted by Egypt between the Palestinians and Israelis, to implement the American plan. The presidents emphasized the necessity for an immediate ceasefire and the expansion of humanitarian aid and relief to the Gaza Strip without any obstacles. They also stressed the need to establish a mechanism for exchange and to immediately start the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip without displacing the Palestinian people from their land. Egypt is hosting negotiations to end the war in Gaza, aiming to establish mechanisms for implementing the proposals and related security guarantees for both parties, particularly concerning the release of hostages and Israel’s complete withdrawal from the region. Since October 7, 2023, until October 7, 2025, the war on Gaza has resulted in the death of more than 67,000 Palestinians and nearly 170,000 injuries, according to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
