Washington – Sputnik. Polina stated in a conversation with Sputnik, “In the world, this can only happen if we are able to work together.” The Kremlin and the White House announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump will meet in Alaska on August 15. Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov revealed that Trump’s special envoy, Steve Whitkoff, suggested during his visit to Moscow the option of holding a trilateral meeting between Putin, Trump, and Zelensky at the Kremlin, but Moscow did not comment, preferring to focus on preparing for the bilateral summit.
Putin stated on Thursday that a meeting with Zelensky is “possible,” but emphasized that such negotiations require conditions that “are still far from being met.” For his part, Zelensky commented on the upcoming Russia-US summit, asserting that he will not make any territorial concessions.
